Hello and welcome! Bonjour et bienvenue! This about Gisele page is a conversational, casual version of my Bio. Feel free to contact me at any time. I look forward to answering your questions.

Awards and Recognition. As one of a growing number of women who climbed the career ladder before founding her own company, I am humbled and grateful to be recognized as an award-winning positive change leader, by organizations such as the YWCA and the Ontario Government. Like most women, I am uncomfortable with awards, yet I encourage all women to do the best we can to serve, with our Goddess-given talents, to accept and enjoy the rewards, and to pay it forward.

Spiritual Beliefs. I was raised a Catholic, and consider myself a multicultural spiritualist. I look forward to the day all churches focus on positive change, include women and people of all sexual orientations in full equality, and spend every possible cent they collect to directly helping those who need it most.

I learned the core lessons which served me best through life, from my amazing mother. I still love the pomp and ceremony and the powerful spiritual experience of a good in-house religious event, such as a midnight mass, weddings and funerals, regardless of which religion it is. I love to sing gospel music, and some of my fondest memories are of our family up in the choir loft, playing American gospel music in our little French country church, St.Celestin.

Currently I provide executive support, management skills training, facilitation, strategic planning, organizational development and speaker services, as well as seminars and positive change tools through my company, VisionarEase Inc. Positive Change Leadership & Consulting. Long Ago. Having ‘skipped’ two grades in elementary school, I was a Registered Nurse* when I turned 19. I worked in the hospital sector, and taught nursing after obtaining a Masters of Education degree. Within that study, I was able to include several courses in women’s issues, sociology, psychology and demographics. I loved it all. My husband calls me a sponge. I am a voracious reader, a science, nature and psychology information addict. Trivial Pursuit anyone?

Always seeking and attracting what I truly wanted, as a management member of a research team, I have served in Public Health, including assisting with Strategic Planning and re-positioning as a Learning Organization. I have served as hospital CEO, Long-Term Care Administrator, and Vice-chair of a health authority the size of France.

We find ourselves in situations we consistently think about. And so, I have been a part of, or a leader in events and initiatives including,

• launching a new community college

• the construction and opening of a long-term care facility

• the implementation of a PACS in the small hospital sector

• Ontario Family Health Teams

• Ontario Nurse Practitioner-led Clinics, including the first NP-led primary care facility in Canada.

• laboratory, diagnostic imaging and long-term care inspections,

• hospital accreditations

• Evidence-based Quality Improvement system

• Chaired or/and been an active member of Governance & Audit Committees, a Heads of Nursing committee, a Rural Hospital Leadership Council, among others groups.

And most important of all, everything I am, or was involved in, is founded in my People First. Patients First. Clients First. philosophy. I know, deep down, that the more we think about, and apply our energy, attention and focus, including action*, to that concept, the more we can change and heal the world.

* That, for the uninitiated, is the Law of Attraction. If you find that it sounds like good Strategic Planning, Healthy Thinking, and the foundation of all spiritual practices, that is because, for those of us really working in the positive change movement (and not trying to attract Ferraris), it is.

Publications My mother's death triggered a deep desire to write about her philosophy - my philosophy. I did so, with Attract It. Beyond Positive Thinking . I have also written textbooks, and published articles in the mainstream media over the course of my career. My latest book, HELP ! Healthy Thinking in Times of Trouble is now available, with several links on this site, Amazon, iUniverse and a growing list of distributors worlwide.

Education Fluent in French and in English, I was educated in Ontario and have a Bachelors Degree in Science (Nursing) from Laurentian University, as well as a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Toronto.

My Company, VisionarEase Inc., is a federally incorporated Canadian company. We work within the positive change movement, often a voice behind the scenes, and sometimes more loudly.

Personal Interests. I consider myself a renaissance woman. Interests: writing, modern positive psychology, science and nature, multicultural spirituality, music - vocals and autoharp, photography, painting and more.

About Gisele and her Family. I have two happily married successful adult daughters, who I raised mostly as a single mom, one grandchild and another on the way. My parents and older brother are all dead, active and very helpful angels. My younger brother and his wife are part of our close knit fun-loving family. I have 79 first cousins. I married a wonderful younger man in 2002. John is in business and is also an accomplished musician. When we can, we play at charity functions and our family jams are legendary.
