How Is Abraham Law of Attraction different from The Secret?

- our thoughts directly create our reality

- we attract everything we experience, good or bad ( Yikes! )

Abraham Law of Attraction Premise Esther and Jerry Hicks strongly promote the following:

- our feelings, which stem from our repeated thought patterns, are responsible for the results we experience. Consistently seeking out good or better feeling states will significantly improve our lot in life. Sometimes, we can not stop something that is already upon us, regardless of our changing our thought patterns. The key is consistently practice thoughts that feel good, and use imagery and practices that match what we truly want more of.

- There is much more to their teachings, and this is my nutshell version.

The Deleted Segments And so, as I was researching this issue, I discovered ( and it seems hundreds of thousands already knew this ), that the Hicks folks were actually in the original version of the DVD! Sure enough, there they are on several youTube videos, explaining that they were in the original, and why they pulled out, as well as their explanation of the subsequent revised version coming out, legal questions etc. Pretty fascinating stuff if you care to look it up. It seems others, namely a Fred Wolfe and a John Hagelin, both Quantum Physicists, also had segments dropped from the original. So what am I doing next? Digging out my copy of The Secret DVD to check out if it has these folks in there! (PS to be added below, after I do so.)

Bottom Line Either way, I do know this. The law of attraction is a fact of life, and whatever we Decide, apply our Energy Attention and Focus to, and back up with a Knowing, faith, confidence, no matter what (1) type of attitude, is bound to show up in our lives, or some form of it. Call it Abraham Law of Attraction teachers, Jerry and Esther Hicks. or something else, it is a similar process to prayer and many other spiritual practices, and was taught or written about by great leaders, with varying vocabulary, for eons: Plato, Jesus, Einstein, Lincoln, Ponder, and now Byrne and Hicks. And so one thing is for sure... it never has been a secret, it is only that our current age has triggered renewed interest in all things metaphysical.
