Good EFT Coaching vs Bad EFT Advice
After years of searching for relief from a painful hip injury, I came across EFT Coaching online, a few years ago.
Thinking, Hey! This looks like it has no side effects…, I printed off several articles on the subject. The first was confusing, over the top foolishness in my opinion at the time. The supposed professional who wrote the article claimed that one would be virtually guaranteed to become pain free at about the 3rd week of exercises. Being an MEd, Registered Nurse and involved in research for several projects at the time, I knew this rang false. I dropped it like a hot potato, and almost ditched the rest of the articles.I decided to keep reading however, came across some more professional information, and gave it a try. I am glad I did. What is EFT Coaching? It is the teaching of a two-pronged technique: a letting go of negative emotions and a tapping on acupuncture points with your own fingers, in combination. This is my nutshell definition of it, and there are more complex ones available from the professionals. Note that one can also act as a surrogate and help someone else perform the technique. The tapping is done on a series of points from head to toe, and I found the procedure itself very relaxing. I used a diagram to make sure I did it correctly. For details on the precise how, I suggest this excellent, no-nonsense site, by Bette Nuss, a professional EFT Practitioner and graduate of McGill University (B.Sc. Psychology). As much as possible, I recommend choosing complementary therapists who have significant credentials, and are not simply selling eBooks. What Problem can this help me with?
