Understanding Guided Imagery and Law of Attraction Skills
...use it, and watch what happens.
First, what is Guided Imagery? In some way, when someone is talking to you, you are usually seeing images on the movie screen of your mind. Effective and realistic law of attraction techniques include this positive thinking concept, even for wellness needs such as maintaining healthy weight.
The other person's words are creating images in your mind. Guided imagery occurs when you enable a voice, yours or someone else’s, to instill specific, planned, motivating or desirable images in your mind. The goal is to spur you on to change or move in a new direction. It is also used as an adjunct to therapy for cancer and other illnesses. Remember, the law of attraction concept, the more we think about a thing, with simultaneous good feelings...? Sound familiar?
Women can use this mind movie concept to help solve problems of all types. I highly recommend the creation and use of your own home-made visualization tools. No one knows what will please us as much as we do. You can use slide show software now in most computer’s basic programs, video recorders, old fashioned cassette recorders, whatever is easiest. Or you can purchase recorded products in
cd or download
form. It all comes down to visualization that makes us feel good, or even slightly better than we felt before the mental exercise. Let’s look at some basics around the concept of visualization.
Most women think visually much of the time, in conjunction with other thinking functions. We enjoy thinking in pictures. We enjoy observing, and appreciate beauty. We learn more easily with the addition of images, or when we can see the end result. A popular Energy System element I encourage, is that of posting pictures of the things you want, in and around you at home or at work. This is a subtle form of guided imagery, which becomes part of your everyday wallpaper. Simply observing visual cues about what you want will in fact subconsciously register that thing in your mind. By placing the pictures where you see them frequently, you will also be prompted to think about, daydream, and Energize your desire.
Professional athletes, astronauts and cancer patients are all taught to visualize the desired result, in order to maximize their chances of success. Advertising for womens products show scenes where the women are happy and being well-taken care of, by the service provided. These are all ways of depicting a desired result, a basic law of attraction concept also used in guided imagery. It is so effective, that consumers purchase the product more often, as suggested.
Note: If you are under a lot of stress, and find yourself frustrated by trying to visualize, or seeing a picture in your mind, try the following. Instead of a picture, simply imagine a color you like, or a large colored screen, on which your desire is written or typed and scrolling up or across, like a computer screen saver.
Visualizing, like any other exercise, gets easier the more you practice it. Example: Imagine your wish is to solve a financial or debt problem. Instead of trying to visualize yourself relaxed and financially free, you could imagine a blue screen on which is continually scrolling the words the following banner:
(your name)______ holds mortgage burning party, in the Caribbean sun!
You could even imagine it looking like a newspaper headline. This type of Energizing method can easily be scripted and recorded by you, to guide your visualization around any problem you are trying to solve.
PS: Do not underestimate the power of the written word - Quotes about happiness are an excellent addition to your list of law of attraction techniques. Memorize a few, and ponder + use them regularly.
