List of Affirmations that work
The most effective list of affirmations
you can own is the one that works. Period. Women: In case you are new to our site, here is the link to my
Affirmations for Women page,
with details on the A-Statement format I developed and teach. In a nutshell, the difference between a list of affirmations or autosuggestion phrases, formatted in my A-Statement style, and good-old classic affirmations, is that they have the following characteristics:
1. User-friendly
2. Energizing
3. Generates Good Feelings
4. Uplifting
5. Feels believable, and are used until you have crossed the Knowing barrier for that particular problem.
You see, until you start to feel you are in the flow of positive change, you may actually discourage yourself by using unrealistic affirmations. Yikes!
Knowing As with all healthy thinking, positive psychology practices,
universal laws of attraction
dictate that your strategy should generate good feelings... or you will give up the strategy at some point. Women, when in a healthy state, are hard wired to be repelled by activities that make us feel bad.
If it does not feel good, you are feeding your limiting beliefs... the brakes are on!

Crossing the Knowing Barrier. Once you have begun to feel or see positive change with your problem, once you feel confident that a solution is on its way to you, then you will find classic affirmations effective. Here are 2 examples, so that you get the gist of it:
Jennie is trying to lose 67 pounds, and can not seem to stay on an exercise plan. She looks in the mirror, and sees an exaggerated version of her overweight self. She has developed low self-esteem and is discouraged.
Classic Affirmation: I am thin. I look great! I love myself
A-Statement style: I know that even if I sometimes fall off the wagon and omit my daily exercise, I am gaining the confidence that I will get back on track, and in six months, I will be closer to my health goal.
How do you think Jennie feels with each version? The A-Statement version is much more easily supported by her fragile self esteem at this time. Soon, once she sees even a bit of success, she can step it up to the classic style. Click here for more law of attraction synced info on

2. This new top feels great! I look good in this colour. I look forward to wearing it to lunch when I reconnect with my friends.
3. I can see myself finding a life partner, who right now is just a positive single I have not met. He (or She) is on the road to me now.
4. I love the feeling of improving my financial situation. Even turning off unused appliances, shortening our showers and doing laundry in cold water with vinegar and baking soda has saved over $15.00 this month! I am seeing a financial planner this week about doing more.
5. I know that my life story is fascinating to my friends. I am starting to write it all down, and I plan to create an eBook and start an online business helping others.
6. I drank a bit less this week, and next I am going to look into AA. I will at least try one meeting.
7. I am excited about spending more quality time with my husband and children. This weekend, we are having an in-house Scrabble tournament.
8. I know I can carve out 5 minutes a day for positive relaxation. Even if I need to lock myself in the bathroom, lie on the floor, close my eyes and block my ears, it is now part of my new healthy thinking strategy.
9. I intend to have a positive experience at work today. No matter what happens, I will look for the positive aspect of the day.
