Think Mind Control is a Bad Thing? Think Again. Think Freedom and Positive Change
First, a few key definitions around the topic of mind control.
Brainwashing: forcible indoctrination into a new set of attitudes and beliefs. (Princeton online definitions). My comment: Yikes! Brainwashing: any effort with the aim of instilling particular attitudes / beliefs in someone, sometimes unwelcome or contradictory with the person's own initial beliefs and even factual knowledge. (Wikipedia) My comment: Double Yikes!! Mind Control:. brainwashing, act of controlling the thoughts and/or actions of others. (Babylon online definitions). Yikes Again! So let’s clear something up right now. You Can Control Your Own Mind. You want to control your own mind. If you aren't controlling it, then who is? Another person? Someone who means well for you? Someone who does not have your best interests at heart? The media? A group you are involved with? A cult? You get my drift here… All girls should be taught from a young age, strategies to never let anyone else control their mind. Read Elizabeth's Smart's poignant example below. Would she have survived if she had not had this skill? Women applying law of attraction strategy to solve real problems are in fact learning wonderful, healthy thinking techniques which can transform their lives and the lives of women everywhere. In fact, women who have finally liberated themselves from an abusive relationship have told me that they felt as if their mind was being controlled by the man they left behind. They felt like they had no power to act on the good healthy thoughts that did come into their minds. The low self esteem they had learned through mind control and abuse was too strong for them to overcome. When we lose focus on what we truly you want, that is good and healthy, and stop acting towards the goals we wanted to achieve, what happens? Instead of creating what we wanted we start saying things such as: I hate my work. I am not sure my boyfriend is faithful. I wish I could leave. I am miserable. Nothing is working out for me. I am ashamed - and our thought pattern continues in that way. We can change that, using strategies that are beyond positive thinking. Whether we use the term mind control or not, it does exist, and can be used for creating a healthy lifestyle for ourselves. Note: We should never attempt to control the mind of another. Do so, and the Karma Truck will be sitting in your driveway. (I think Robin Williams said that) Through the strategies of law of attraction, you can tame the wild horses, a mindfulness concept you may have heard of in Zen Buddhism. The wild horses are the thoughts in your mind which are running wild. Why not learn to control your own thoughts and enjoy a more joyful life. My favourite example of this is the poignant story of Elizabeth Smart and what her mother said to her when she was freed from the evil hands of her abductor, after 9 months in captivity. In order to support her daughter in the difficult work of de-focusing on the horror she had lived, her mother said, “They took 9 months of your life – don’t give them a moment more.” Her captor had tried mind control on her as he raped her, by saying “God wants you to do this.”. Elizabeth was mentally strong and used her own amazingly powerful mind control strategies of hope, eventually escaping, triumphant.
