Ideal, though not absolutely necessary, the winning choice should: 1. Be from a well-known motivator, respected for her or his ideas. 2. Assist or facilitate the user in developing clarity. 3. Be in English. After much research and debate, I have chosen the following attributed to Anthony Robbins, as the Best Positive Motivational Quote of 2009. Identify your problems but give your power and energy to solutions. I would like to add, that this man's life story and his work in the field of success theory, is of great significance, and has yet to be adequately recognized outside his field. He is also respectful of women in his messaging. I was introduced to his work in the early 80's, and I recommend his tools and books as an excellent addition to any woman's library of reference materials. In working through a problem, toward a sustainable solution, Identifying it clearly is of utmost importance. See my comments on clarity and deliberate creation, and use of Contrast.
