Positive Thinking Phrases for Fitness
Over the past two years, we have collected some great positive thinking phrases. This top pick short list, law of attraction synced, is for women seeking some healthy self talk to go along with the best fitness tips they are implementing.
First, remember. There is no genie. The secret is Think, Say and Do things differently, like Einstein. Especially when it comes to women’s health and fitness, the law of attraction only serves you well when you make sure that what you
• Think
• Say and
• Do
are in alignment.
Gisele, how do you do it? I am asked this question on a regular basis. For those of you who know me from my off line work, you will know a bit about my own successful fitness philosophy and some of the positive thinking phrases I personally use. I will share with you that I have successfully maintained a healthy weight all my life, and still feel and look good on the beach, at 53 years of age. I have the energy and flexibility to enjoy whatever activity interests me, and this does not happen from what some think is just a good metabolism. Yes, I love to eat, enjoy Cheetos occasionally, and often fall off the exercise wagon. Just like most women. So how do I do it?
It starts between the ears. So here are 2 key healthy thinking strategies, followed by the positive thinking phrases I promised you:
1. In your first few thoughts as you awaken every morning, tell yourself, I will enjoy 30 minutes or more of physical activity as a minimum today. Simultaneously visualize yourself actually doing the activity, and enjoying it, feeling the accomplishment satisfaction that comes with it.
2. As you go to sleep every night, acknowledge and mentally pat yourself on the back for any and all physical activity you did do. Include the walking and stair climbing you did as a normal part of your day, as well as the planned 30 minutes.
But what if I blew it, and did not do the 30 minutes of exercise? Well, guess what? You’re normal. Tomorrow is another day. Acknowledge that you are admitting it to yourself and press on. Do it tomorrow. Period. Women have told me they actually feel guilty about not following the fitness tips they have been given, and therefore give up easily.
That guilt, in fact, is part of why some women have a life long struggle with this issue. Find some effective strategies to get in touch with any guilt, observe it, and learn to let go of it. The Sedona method is one excellent method. In the meantime, begin re-programming your own mental messaging with positive thinking phrases such as:
1. Inner Dialogue: I am excited about my new attitude, and these mental strategies I am learning. I know these new healthy thinking skills will help me achieve and maintain a healthy weight and fitness level. Note: Initially, write this down on a card, read it frequently through your day, until this message become part of your automatic self-talk.
2. NLP: Neuro Linguistic Programming: Create or choose one new positive thinking phrase which will become part of your new day to day language. Examples from our clients’ feedback:
A. Telling someone who cares about you about a new physical activity you are engaged in. As in, Hey Mariah, have you tried that new stair stepping tip from XYZ tv show?
B. Announcing your departure in combination with your physical activity plan for the day, as in, Well girls, gotta go! I’m doing my 30 minute walk before dinner. See you tomorrow!
C. Low level sing-song types of A-Statements, as in, to the tune of Singing in The Rain, for example, I’m getting so healthy, I’m getting so strong. What a glorious feeling, I’m happy again
Simple, easy to remember, positive thinking phrase that fit your life, your reality.
