Create your Stop Doing List You are overwhelmed, can’t possibly get everything on your To Do list done, and wonder how the heck you got to this point. Let’s get right to the how-to’s. Easy Steps:1. Start with a short law of attraction and manifestation visualization exercise: close your eyes, take two deep breaths and create a clear pleasing visual image in your mind, of you looking relaxed, calmly enjoying Free Time, as you do every day now. Include some positive thinking phrases in your mental self talk while you do this exercise. E,g.: My Stop Doing List will help me enjoy more free time every day. I can see it. This is great! 2. Now, paper and pencil in hand, start your unusual list of affirmations by listing three things or activities you will stop doing as of right now. No, you do not need to use any technology to create your stop doing list. In fact, get away from all computer screens and hand held communication devices of all kinds for this exercise. A piece of sturdy paper you can pull out of your pocket or purse at a weak moment is what you need. 3. At the appropriate moment, inform whoever you need to that you are no longer doing items 1, 2, and 3. This may be the tricky part. For example, you may be uncomfortable telling the office staff, Hey crew, someone else will have to take over the coffee pick up every morning. I am sleeping an extra 10 minutes from now on.. Or, Sweetie, I hope you don’t mind – I am doing my own laundry from now on, and I can give you pointers for you to do your own if you need them. Get the drift? Self Inflicted Overwhelm Our belief that we need to do or be It All has brought us to this point. Women in particular, are suffering incredible stress by trying to do way too much. So much in fact, that 99.9% of women seeking out my advice of late are complaining of dangerous levels of overwhelm. Remember that effective realistic optimism, as in law of attraction and manifestation strategies only work if and when you not only Think in new ways, but you also Speak new words, and most importantly, Act in new ways.
