Top Tips for Tired Women
Having worked with countless tired women in my health care and leadership career, and having been one myself, I have learned what works and what doesn’t. In writing this article, I was brought back in time to a university prof I was working with a number of years ago. She was a brilliant academic, and working on a PhD research project on fatigue. She was also working full time and taking care of a family with young children. What’s wrong with this picture? Not only was she overwhelmed with demands and stressed beyond belief, but she was spending hours every day, focused on the subject of Fatigue! If you are serious about re-energizing, and staying that way more of the time, these top tips are my recommendations for you. Bonus I have added my People Laughing Video Playlist below. If that doesn’t re-energize you, call me. Enjoy!

6. Saying No more often. Women are too often in the exhausting habit of saying Yes to everybody, everything. Wouldn’t you rather go for a nature hike on Sunday than the football game your hubby wants to drag you to? What do You want? Remember… law of attraction is the natural law that the more you think about and immerse yourself in something, the more of that you end up with.
7. Attract more sleep and rest. Sleeping with a snorer? He or she needs the strips, or to sleep in another room. Why should your health suffer? It is dangerous to your health to night after night, month after month, year after year, lose precious sleep. Add a nap or at least a 15 minute lie down & think pleasant thoughts period every day. Start today. No excuses.
8. Laugh. Note: This people laughing playlist has everything from groups, yoga masters, babies and women laughing:
At least twice a day, laugh out loud for 15 seconds. Nothing funny in your day yet? Find something, videos of people laughing, a funny movie, or just laugh anyway. Make it a belly laugh, and crinkle your eyes – make it seem real, and your brain will buy it. Laugh therapy works.
9. Take a Break. A. Every day, at least 3 real 15 minute do what You really want to do breaks. B. At least every 3 months, a long weekend or week if you can to have some fun, somewhere other than your principle residence. C. At least once a year, a real vacation 1-2 weeks.
